A Welcome Letter from Dawn B (That's Me!)

Dear reader,

Have you ever been completely overwhelmed by possibilities? Have you ever been SO excited by SO many things that you have no idea where to start and wind up not trying ANY of them?

Yeah! Me, too!!

And that’s why I created this blog.

Dawn B Creative originated from a company, DMT Artistry, that I launched nearly 2 decades ago. It started as a pet and home pencil portraiture business, transformed into a graphic design and marketing firm, then got shelved while I took an executive leadership role in my husband’s bicycle shop, had kids, and made a home for us.

Being a creative type yourself, you will understand me when I say that putting my artistic self on hold all those years was NOT healthy.

I went through anxiety, depression, health breakdowns, and family struggles in a straight jacket of my own making.

Bleh.

It took forced retirement and a complete health implosion to rocket me out of this half-life. And on my way back up from bleakness, art was there to hug me back into myself.

But where to start??

Pencil work was nifty and all, but I have the heart of an explorer, the mind of a student, and the attention span of a 2-year-old.

The more I delved into creative possibilities, the more I wanted to try… well… EVERYTHING!

Conventional perception might call this A.D.D. I call it a QUEST. And here’s where WONDERFUL YOU enters the picture…

Over the coming months and years, I’ll be researching, testing, and blogging about a spectacular variety of arts and crafts under the new name Dawn B Creative (DBC). I am totally geeked to invite you along on this adventure with me!
